Description
Overview:
The Human CC16 (Clara Cell Protein 16) ELISA Kit (Cat: ELK10305) by ELK Biotechnology offers researchers a highly sensitive and specific tool for the quantitative measurement of Human CC16. This kit is strictly intended for research laboratory use and development, and must not be used for diagnostic purposes, humans, or animals.
Test Principle This kit operates on the sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle.
- The provided microtiter plate is pre-coated with a Human CC16-specific antibody.
- When standards or samples are added to the wells, they bind to this antibody, followed by the addition of a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human CC16.
- Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is then added and incubated.
- The addition of a TMB substrate solution produces a color change only in wells containing Human CC16, the biotin-conjugated antibody, and the enzyme-conjugated Avidin.
- The reaction is terminated using a sulphuric acid solution, and the resulting color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 10 nm to determine the concentration.
Performance Characteristics
- Specificity: The assay exhibits excellent specificity for the detection of Human CC16, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference observed between Human CC16 and its analogues.
- Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV% < 8%
- Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV% < 10%
Storage and Handling
- For unopened kits, short-term storage is valid for 6 months at 4°C.
- For long-term storage, the kit is valid for 1 year when stored at -20°C.
- Repeated freeze-thaw cycles must be avoided.
If the whole kit is stored at -20°C, it should be moved to 4°C the day prior to the experiment.
