Description
Overview :
The BT LAB Human Catalase (CAT) ELISA Kit (Cat. No. E3053Hu) provides a reliable and precise method for the quantitative measurement of Human Catalase in various biological samples. Optimized to support your research, this kit is compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, Ascites, and other biological fluids.
Assay Principle This kit utilizes a Sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) technique. The provided microplate comes pre-coated with a Human CAT-specific antibody. When the sample is added, any CAT present binds directly to the coated antibodies. A biotinylated Human CAT Antibody is subsequently added, which also binds to the CAT in the sample. Following this, Streptavidin-HRP is introduced to bind with the Biotinylated CAT antibody. Unbound Streptavidin-HRP is then removed during a washing step. Finally, a substrate solution is added, resulting in a color development that is proportional to the amount of Human CAT present. The reaction is terminated with an acidic stop solution, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
Performance & Precision
- Sensitivity:12 KU/L
- Detection Range: 2-600 KU/L
- Intra-Assay Precision: Assessed by testing three samples of known concentration on one plate, demonstrating low coefficients of variation (CV) of 4.8%, 3.4%, and 6.6%.
- Inter-Assay Precision: CV < 10%.
Included Kit Components
The kit includes the essential reagents required to run the assay:
- Pre-coated ELISA plate
- Standard solution (800 KU/L) and Standard diluent
- Biotinylated Human CAT antibody
- Streptavidin-HRP
- Substrate solutions A and B
- Wash buffer Concentrate (25x)
- Stop solution and Plate sealer
Storage & Handling Instructions For optimal stability, the un-opened kit can be stored at -20°C for up to one year, or at 2-8°C for 6 months. Once individual reagents are opened, it is highly recommended that the kit be used within 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles to ensure reagent integrity.
