Protocol Overview
Cell Freezing Process
- Ensure healthy, contamination-free cells in log phase
- Centrifuge cells (3–5 min at 1000–2000 rpm, 4°C)
- Remove supernatant and resuspend in CELLBANKER® 2
- Dispense into cryovials (1 ml aliquots)
- Store directly at -80°C, then transfer to liquid nitrogen if required
Thawing Process
- Rapidly thaw cells in a 37°C water bath
- Dilute with culture medium
